The Rogers Sisters – The Invisible Deck
Behold – in amongst the ruddy cheeked, toothless locals you meet the girl of your dreams

Don’t let the name deceive you. The Rogers Sisters may sound like a sugary sweet folk combo but you’d be wrong. The Rogers Sisters rock! It’s like when you go to your local old-man boozer for a quiet pint and lo behold in amongst the ruddy cheeked, toothless locals you meet the girl of your dreams just where you’d least expect it. Exploding with pounding drums and heavy riffs, album opener Why Won’t You struts and swaggers as it sets the tone for things to come. Through the ensuing tracks the album goes from strength to strength with no weak songs in the bunch. The pace is relentless and peaks in a joyous racket of percussion on You Undecided. Rogers Sisters have melded their diverse influences into a thrilling sound of their own that I hope to hear next time I’m sinking a pint in my local old man boozer, with my fingers crossed.
