back from oz + the n.z. - 10/19/06

hi dudes

just returned from another fantastic voyage down under. once again, we wanna thank wu-tang + thommy lingo from the popfrenzy crew. they fucking rule. koala shout outs to nick chambers + gemma smith, roooooooooben, emily, i heart hiroshima posse, damn arms crew + young + restless.

new zealand was amazing as well! definitely go if you have a chance. the scenery is breathtaking + the kiwis are unerringly nice. there’s great food there too! kiwi shout outs to jim + gordon of the galesburg posse, lisa lisa + cult jam, the cosbys, jonnie rose, the sf bathhouse crew, cheese on toast, the knave + the neon sleep crew.

keep an eye on our tour sched cause we’re gonna be busy rockin it with css + 1990s in november + december!

trs + sk = hella sweaty - 08/ 3/06

well, it’s been an amazing three days. amazingly fun + amazingly freaking hot that is! i don’t think i’ve ever sweated so much.

sleater-kinney were absolutely fantastic playing 2+ hours for their ecstatic + devoted fans. thanks to those fans for giving us much love.

lowpoint: the transformer meltdown outside of the 9:30 resulting in a fire dept-ordered evacuation.

highpoint: our awesome sound-wizard, baby d, getting in this dude’s face when he tried to sneak to the side stage through our dressing room during s-k’s set.

btw, we’re going out on tour next week! we’ll be going back to sweden, the uk and belgium!! come say hi!
